Double FoodTec Award Winner – Silver and Gold!

Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann KG once again proves its innovation leadership and submits two innovations of the Seydelmann Group to the International FoodTec Award 2021 during the Anuga FoodTec: The Seydelmann RFID cutting set, as well as the ohmic heating of meat and sausage products of SeyOS GmbH.

The RFID cutting set helps to avoid errors when inserting the cutting set by means of RFID codes in the cutting set parts. The control of the machine shows which cutting unit is needed according to the product, thus it is not possible to manufacture certain products while an unsuitable cutting set has been installed.

SeyOS GmbH revolutionizes sausage production in the industry with the electrothermal process “Ohmic heating”. By passing direct current transmission through the product, a lightning-fast heating of the entire product, along its entire length and over the cross-section, is uniformly achieved. Thus, energy, time and space requirements of the cooking process are reduced to a minimum. In addition, a continuous production process is possible.

Both submitted innovations have now been selected for the International FoodTec Award 2021! The Seydelmann RFID cutting set receives the award in silver, the ohmic heating of SeyOS GmbH is awarded with the gold medal! The innovative strength of Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann KG runs through the entire Seydelmann Group and also characterizes SeyOS GmbH. Thus, the Seydelmann Group again strengthens its innovation leadership in the field of food technology.

The International FoodTec Award will be presented for the eleventh time this year. It honors leading developments in international food technology and was awarded to 20 innovation projects this year.
