Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann KG extends production area

By purchasing land and buildings adjacent to the existing factory premises in Aalen, the production and storage areas were significantly expanded as early as 2017.

In order to meet the space requirements of the rapidly growing production line division, a new production and storage hall will be built on this site on a total of 2,000 square meters and additional external storage space will be created. In the 48 meter long, 25 meter wide and 7 meter high hall, the final assembly for fully automated production lines will find ideal conditions to be able to carry out not only the assembly but also the complete acceptance test including a dry run. The new building will be constructed using sustainable construction methods with plenty of natural light entering through windows and light bands in the roof and a green façade. In order to cover the increased electricity demand, the roof of the new chipping plant, which has been completed in 2016, will be fitted with a photovoltaic system with a rated output of around 85 kWp.

In addition, the existing factory buildings on the expansion site have been modernised and now serve, among other things, as storage for around 600 electric motors and frequency converters. This will ensure ongoing production and a rapid worldwide supply of spare parts.
