How can I apply at Seydelmann?

Please apply exclusively via the application portal on our homepage.

Unfortunately, applications in paper form or by e-mail cannot be considered - on the one hand, because we want to guarantee you a speedy application process, and on the other hand, for data protection reasons.

Please understand that application folders sent by post cannot be returned. These will be destroyed in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

Are the advertised jobs up to date?

The vacancies on our careers page are updated regularly. Posted jobs are still vacant. Jobs that have already been filled are immediately removed from the job listing.

What documents are needed for my complete application?

In order to get a complete insight about your profile, we need the following documents:

  •  Curriculum vitae
  •  All relevant certificates (e.g. work references, bachelor's/master's degrees, diplomas or certificates of further education)
  •  Cover letter (optional)
  •  And preferably an application photo (optional)

The cover letter is optional, but nevertheless only too welcome. A meaningful cover letter helps us to get to know you and your knowledge and skills better. It also gives you the opportunity to convince us why YOU are the right candidate for this position.

We look forward to receiving your application!

How does the application process work?

Job offers
In the first step, the HR officer reviews your application and compares your profile with the requirements for the position you are applying for. This is where an initial pre-selection takes place.

Suitable applicants are then submitted to the relevant department. If the assessment is positive, we will invite you to our company for a personal meeting*.

After the interview and the evaluation of all other interested parties, we select the best candidate(s) for the second round of interviews. Following this, a decision is made on the allocation of the vacant position.

Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are reviewed by our training managers and compared with the requirements for the desired training position.
If the assessment is good, we invite you to a first meeting with a recruitment test. The best candidates are invited to a second interview.
Following this, a decision is made on the allocation of the training positions.

Working students / dual students
In the first step, the personnel officer reviews your application and compares your academic performance with the requirements of the position you are applying for. This is where an initial pre-selection takes place.
Suitable applicants are then forwarded to the relevant departments. There we check whether we can guarantee sufficient supervision capacity and which tasks we can assign to you (working students).
If your documents are evaluated positively, we will invite you to our company for a personal meeting.*
After the interview, the relevant department will decide whether to award the position to the most suitable candidate(s).

School internships
Applications for school internships are reviewed by our training managers and the quality of your school performance is checked.
In the event of a positive assessment, we will check whether we can guarantee sufficient supervision capacity in our training workshop during your specified period and will then contact you.

*) Please note: Due to the current situation regarding the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, interviews may also take place via webmeetings (Webex).

Can I apply for several jobs / training positions at the same time?

Yes. Here we ask you to upload each application individually to the respective positions, as the respective contact persons may vary for different positions.

I have not found a suitable vacant position. What now?

We will gladly accept your unsolicited application. We will match your documents not only with current vacancies, but also with possible future vacancies. In the "Unsolicited application" section, you have the option of saving your data until you revoke it so that we can send you any suitable vacancies.

When can I expect to hear back from Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann KG?

Since we check your documents carefully and individually, and since several parties are involved in the selection and decision-making process, it may take longer to get back to you in individual cases. After 14 days at the latest, you will receive an interim response in which we inform you about the current status of your application.
