Opening of the new training workshop
Maschinenfabrik Seydelmann KG in Aalen is celebrating the grand opening of its new training workshop. Numerous visitors, including young people interested in training and many employees with their children, took the opportunity to look behind the scenes at the newly designed training facility.
The training workshop has been completely renovated and is in a historic building on the company premises. As part of the modernization, the space has been doubled, and the rooms have been designed to be open and inviting. With state-of-the-art training machines, including a 5-axis milling machine and a new welding lift table, the workshop is technically up to date. It is also equipped with four lathes – two of which are new machines – as well as two milling machines, assembly workstations, and electro-pneumatic training models. A modern training room for theory lessons completes the picture.
The company is thus responding to rapid advances in manufacturing and ensuring modern, practical training. A particular highlight is that the new equipment now enables practical learning at all in-house assembly stations. At the same time, Seydelmann is increasing its training quota to 10% to sustain its strong growth with qualified skilled workers.
In the new training workshop, industrial mechanics, cutting machine operators, and mechatronics engineers will be trained in the future—under the best conditions for the skilled workers of tomorrow. Seydelmann also trains warehouse logistics specialists, industrial clerks, and technical product designers. In addition, a dual study program in mechanical engineering is offered.
Seydelmann offers a high retention rate, and numerous successful employees began their careers with training at the company—many of them now hold leadership positions. The success of the training program is regularly confirmed by awards and commendations. The high degree of prefabrication and manufacturing to produce machines and parts demonstrates the relevance of the training and promotes a sense of responsibility and quality awareness from day one.
